Talnua Sales Director Position

This is a 40/week position with Talnua Distillery with the opportunity to grow quickly in the company. As sales
director, you will work with and report to the owners. The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $105,000 and is
specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the state of Colorado if selected for the role. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience. This position is eligible to participate in a bonus program. Metrics and level of participation are determined annually. This position is also eligible for health care and time off benefits.

A Sales Director for Talnua Distillery will be required and expected perform the following tasks:


The Sales Director for Talnua Distillery will help achieve sales volume and distribution objectives of the
company by building, managing, and coaching a team of sales representatives to make their standards of performance goals through proper planning, organization, training and execution.

General Duties and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong customer orientation by maintaining relationships with key accounts, identifying account opportunities, performing customer business reviews, developing opening orders with new accounts, selling-in resets of stores, managing open territories and resolving customer complaints.

  • Manage suppliers by planning routes, pre-surveying accounts, conducting survey with supplier, recapping the survey and scheduling sales representatives as needed.

  • Resolve customer issues by following appropriate administrative processes and company policies and escalating issues to management as appropriate.

  • Complete all necessary training programs by attending, participating, and passing all required tests as defined by management.

  • Maintain professional and industry knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks.

  • Maintain customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • The Sales Director will supervise those sales representatives on his/her team

  • Conduct effective weekly sales meetings with sales representatives by communicating sales objectives and programs, identifying opportunities, reviewing performance against goals, and guiding team members on how to close gaps.

  • Responsible for building a sales team as inventory and territory increase.

  • Participate in the associate interview and selection process by working with human resources to source candidates, schedule interviews, conduct interviews, and manage the on-boarding process.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.

  • A minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • An understanding of spirits is required.

  • Must be a results oriented professional with excellent verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as strong customer service skills.

  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines.

  • Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software.

  • Must be 21+ years of age.

  • Must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds.
