The Acorn Project is a dedicated natural resource philanthropy committed to the conservation and restoration of our planet’s vital ecosystems. Our mission is to safeguard biodiversity, protect natural habitats, and promote sustainable resource management through a multifaceted approach that encompasses education, community involvement, and strategic philanthropic efforts.
Philanthropy
Philanthropy drives our mission forward. We collaborate with donors, corporate partners, and other philanthropic organizations to secure the resources needed to implement our programs and projects. Every contribution to the Acorn Project is an investment in a sustainable future. Our transparent and accountable approach ensures that all funds are used effectively to achieve measurable, lasting impacts on the environment and the communities we serve.

Donation
We rely on the generous support of individuals within our community to contribute to impactful projects and programs that protect our natural resources. Talnua will provide the community with philanthropic outlets that have a defined, cohesive vision.
Partnerships
We will create strong partnerships with organizations and community groups that share our vision. Our primary partnership goal is to pool resources and expertise to maximize the impact of our conservation objectives.
Projects & Programs
Forest Restoration
Objective: Rehabilitate degraded forests and expand green spaces by donating to organizations that reforest areas affected by wildfires and deforestation. Plan community service projects to plant trees in these affected areas.
Aqua Vitae
Objective: Ensure access to clean and safe water for all communities. Work with and donate to organizations that provide humans and animals access to clean water, as well as protect, replenish, and renew these water sources.
Wildlife Conservation
Objective: Work with organizations that protect and preserve species and their habitats, ensuring the stability and resilience of ecosystems and promoting biodiversity for the health and balance of our natural environment.
Sustainable Agriculture
Objective: Increase our collaboration with farmers on regenerative farming practices for our products. Focus on farmers that promote healthier soils and reduced use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Work specifically with Root Shoot on these objectives and increase our annual spend with them year over year.

Project
“It's extremely devastating when a single storm can wipe out an entire season worth of crops, and even more devastating to walk the fields this morning with Todd. Our Berthoud fields were hit the worst. 120 acres of our non-GMO corn (distillers' corn), 12 acres of blue corn (trial), 300 acres of alfalfa, and 70 acres of Genie barley were completely destroyed. Over 512 acres, 5 months of field work during the season, countless hours of irrigation, and only 30 minutes of hail." - Olander Farms
